初日咖啡是我在高雄愛到的一家店,提供和食洋食的早午餐及下午茶。他們有兩家店,這次去了他們的二店。
Hajime Te Cafe is my favourite place for brunch at Kaohsiung. They can 2 restaurants, I went to their 2nd one.

 


我和朋友都選了洋食套餐,和食套餐之前吃過,很不錯。
We chose western style set meals as I have tried their Japanese style ones, it’s nice.

 

 

 


味噌雞肉佛卡夏 Miso Chicken Focaccia 340NT
套餐除了佛卡夏包,還包括農場沙拉 (我們選了蘋果油醋作沙拉醬汁)、煎蛋跟優格。佛卡夏軟身富橄欖香,裡面的雞肉以特製的味噌去醃,香氣十足,夠味而不過鹹。配菜的沙拉、煎蛋和優格都很好吃,吃得出他們對食材的用心製作。
Focaccia is soft and full of olives’ fragrance. Miso chicken is flavourful, a nice combination. Their side dishes are tasty too!

 


明太子軟法麵包 Mentaiko Bagutte 300NT
除了上一個套餐的配菜外,這個套餐還附了外脆內軟的薯餅。我喜歡這個明太子軟法,法國軟包香酥好吃,上面的明太子鹹香鮮突出,如果愛吃明太子的一定會喜歡吃這個。
If you like mentaiko, don’t miss this. Besides baguette, it has a croquette too.

鹽埕區有名老店美食鴨肉珍,喜愛這裡的鴨肉飯跟下水湯。開店至今已經六十多年人潮還是多,用餐時間特別多人。
Duck Zhen is one of my favourite eatery in Kaohsiung, I like their duck rice and soup.

 


下水湯 Duck gizzard and liver soup 
湯頭不是隨便的做,用了鴨骨頭煮上一段長時間,喝起來很夠味道,下水內容有鴨腸、鴨胗跟鴨肝,都是新鮮食材,值得點一下他們放湯的選項。
Their soup is tasty, using duck bones to cook for a long time. If you don’t want organs, you can choose soup noodles with duck meat.

 


 

鴨腿肉 Duck leg
可以選你要的鴨肉份量,一隻、半隻、1/4都沒問題,我一個人就吃一隻鴨腿就好。肉質有彈性,沾他們調的沾醬會更好吃。
You can choose the portion like a whole duck, half or a quarter. I ate alone so I ordered a duck leg. I like to eat with their homemade dipping sauce.

 


鴨肉飯 duck with braised pork rice 
這裡有鴨肉飯跟肉燥飯可選,選鴨肉飯能同時吃到鴨肉跟肉燥,肉燥用的是肥肉,油而不膩,味道亦好,是南部比較甜的調味。
They have braised pork rice and duck with braised pork rice. You can try the meaty part of the pork and the fats that lend a melt-in-the-mouth texture at the same time, delicious.

La Grotta是西門町少有的好吃咖啡甜點,個人很推薦,為了他們的橙花杏仁奶凍而來。在西門町站2號出口,國軍歷史博物館旁。
La Grotta is a nice cafe and dessert shop at Ximending, came here for their biancomangiare. Located near Ximen MRT station exit 2, next to War Museum.

 


因低消是要每人一杯飲料,點了濃縮咖啡。Espresso for fulfilling their minimum charge – a drink for each person.

 

半凍冰糕 Semifreddo 
義大利的國家甜點,以皮蒙特D.O.P榛果、西西里杏仁製作的焦糖堅果、沙巴雍(Sabayon)、打發鮮奶油與義式蛋白霜冷凍而成。冰冷的質感加上果仁的嚼嚼感,還有沙巴雍、鮮奶油的香氣,很不錯。
Crunchy and flavorful semifreddo made of hazelnuts from Piedmont, caramelised almonds from Sicily, sabayon, cream and meringue.

 


橙花杏仁牛奶凍與干邑英國醬 Biancomangiare 
喜出望外的甜點,來自法國的甜點,另一串法是Blancmange,直譯作”白色的食物”,是從中世紀已有的美食。以杏仁奶+小農牛奶,配合杏仁酒、橙花水,做成柔軟滑嫩的橙花杏仁牛奶凍,味道多層次,杏仁香雅緻清爽。加上干邑酒英國蛋奶醬與烤杏仁,華麗的甜點,也是很適合夏日吃的甜點。
Smooth and soft almond milk pudding, mixed with milk, amaretto and orange blossom water. I like the fragrance from the almond milk and orange blossom water. The sauce is tasty and sweet, with cognac, custard and baked almond.

鴉片粉圓是我小時候就知道的古早味冰品甜點,聽說會像鴉片一吃上癮,一直到最近才吃到。分店有很多,我去的是板橋創始店,是去吃完油庫口麵線後走過去的,很近。
I know “opium fenyuan” when I was small, heart that this dessert is just like opium, people would get addicted after trying. I had a chance to try after eating Ukuko oyster vermicelli last time, it’s near so I came here by walk. Banqiao is their first eatery, they have quite a lot of branches at Taipei city too.

 

 

 

 


點了原味的鴉片粉圓冰 (50NT)。粉圓是用番薯粉做的,Q彈有咬口,”鴉片膏”其實是以紅砂糖煮成蜜,香甜可口,那種潤甜的味道確實會讓人上癮,加上天熱,配合碎冰一起吃,透心涼的感覺也想讓我願意再去吃。下次會嚐一下他們的其他冰品。
Original “opium fen yuan ice” (50NT). Their fen yuan (yam pearls) are soft with adequate chewiness. “Opium” is actually their house made syrup made from brown sugar, I like the aroma and the flavorful sweetness. Actually the syrup is really tasty, would like to visit again next time.

My灶的滷肉飯非常有名,之前香港朋友Marshall到台北,跟他和台灣朋友Henry一起晚餐。滷肉飯名不虛傳,好吃。
My Zhao is famous for their braised pork rice, 灶 (Zhao) = Kitchen in Taiwanese dialect. They have some other good Taiwanese authentic dishes too. I had a happy dinner with my friend Marshall and Henry here.

 

 


就在松江南京站出口3右轉直走一分鐘步程,建議訂位,如要吃他們的白斬雞、麻油雞飯亦要預先預訂。
Just 1 minute walk from Songjiang Nanjing MRT station exit 3. Better make reservations before visit. If you want to try their chicken and sesame chicken rice, needs to reserved before also.

 


小吃酸木瓜,用上百香果去醃,酸甜開胃。
Sour green papaya with passion fruit juice.

 


蒼蠅頭 “Fly’s head” 280NT 
以韭菜切粒,加上豆豉、肉碎同炒,拌飯之選。如果加上皮蛋味道會更好。
“Fly’s head” is an authentic Taiwanese dish, fly’s head = fermented black beans, and also with chopped garlic chives and minced pork. Goes very well with rice. If they add some preserved eggs like the traditional dish does, it would be more tasty.

 


鮮蚵烘蛋 Taiwanese omelet with oysters 280NT
漂亮的圓扁型,烘蛋質感蠻鬆軟的,鮮蚵鮮甜飽滿,不錯吃。
I like the fluffy texture of the eggs with fresh flavorful oysters.

 


蒜片A菜 Taiwanese lettuce with garlic 180NT
純粹是加道青菜而點的,淡淡的蒜味伴A菜,家常的炒菜味道。
Ordered this just for a veggie dish. Homey fried Taiwanese lettuce with slightly fragrance from the garlic slices.

 


My灶滷肉飯 “My Zhao braised pork rice” 80NT
招牌名物,飯上的滷肉也真的做得蠻優,肥瘦豬肉摻半,油而不膩。色澤較深但不過鹹,醬油香突出,雖然價格比外面的貴一些,但值得一吃。
Their famous rice, we like the braised pork very much. Fatty and lean pork mixed together, with the scent of soy sauce, splendid braised pork rice, worth trying.
