老闆是兩位七年級生 (香港人說的八十後)。一位的家是開魚店的,另一位的家是經營米店。兩位因為一次的音樂節合作賣飯團而有這個新合作計劃去打造這食堂。

The owners are 2 men whom their families are working in food industry. One is selling fish and the another one sells rice. They worked together to make rice balls once at a music festival. And they decided to work together again – running this homey bistro.

每天供應套餐,沒有別的單點,360元一位。每兩星期更換一次餐單,菜式視乎時令食材而定。

Only set meal here for every customers. 360NT per one. This time we had 1 appetizer, 1 soup, 3 dishes (which are not big in size) and a small dessert.

蔬菜排骨湯

可能在香港看太多厲害的煲湯,所以平常對台灣的湯沒有太大的感覺。湯頭清淡,行軍的肉好吃的,因為不柴。

I always prefer Cantonese boiled soup, so this is just a okay to me. Mild soup taste, the meat is quite tasty because it’s still tender.

奶釀白玉菜頭、涼拌豬干

吃了他們的頭盤就知道他們走的是比較溫和的口味,味道比較清淡,但調味合到好處,也會讓人吃得滿足。我會比較愛用"乾"這字,豬肝有點過熟,但涼拌的味道很好。白玉菜頭即是白蘿蔔,能吃到白蘿蔔本身的味道,帶點鮮甜。

Radish and pork liver

The seasonings here are mild, you won’t feel heavy compared with those “stir fry" Taiwanese dishes. As appetizer, pork liver is a bit too overcooked, but I like the seasonings and the sweetness from the radish.

扁魚白菜魯

能吃到白菜本身的鮮甜味道和魚乾香。我家有時候也會做這道菜,很喜歡配白飯吃。

Cabbage stew with dried fish

A typical Taiwanese home dish, I like the sweetness from the cabbage and the savory flavor from the dried fish. Good to eat with rice.

關廟鳳梨醬煮虱目魚肚

這個是我一直都很喜歡吃的菜式,尤其我覺得虱目魚肚很能代表台南。沒有刺虱目魚肚以醃鳳梨醬煮,能吃到虱目魚的甜美和醃鳳梨的鹹酸,好吃!

Milk fish fillet in salted pineapple sauce

I always love having this at home because I love milk fish fillet. Salted pineapple sauce is one of the common Taiwanese seasonings, taste salty and a bit sour. The taste goes well from the pineapple sauce and the sweetness from the milk fish.

糖燻鴨肉蒜

以糖燻過的鴨肉去骨切絲,鴨肉的肉香十分突出,常常都覺得最好吃的鴨還是在台灣。冬粉 (粉絲) 吸滿了的鴨肉的精華和味道,富鴨肉鮮味的一碗鴨肉蒜。

Sugar smoked duck with vermicelli

Duck was smoked by sugar and debone. Flavorful duck meat with those vermicelli which have absorbed the aroma of the duck.

其中一個老闆家是做米店的,這裏的米飯是用自"花蓮米厝",當然好吃。選用花蓮上等米來煮成白飯,飯香和黏度都係討喜,軟綿可口,還可無限添加。不要少看這碗米飯,我覺得是整個套餐的亮點之一。

One of the owner’s family is selling rice from Hualian, the rice here is wonderful! I love the aroma and the texture of the rice, it is definitely one of the best food in this set meal.

最後還有甜點冬瓜蒟蒻。winter melon tea jelly as dessert.

吃了一桌家常好菜,滿足。幻想自己有一天也有這樣子的餐廳。常常在想要開不同的食店,甜點店啦鹽水雞鹽酥雞店甚至香港魚蛋檔 (我很愛吃魚蛋),還是先多光顧好食店吧。
