Arranged to meet here for a weekday dinner with a total of three diners. We arrived at around 6:30 and although it was quiet at first, every table was full by the time we left 90 minutes later.  The first item to come out was actually my favourite of the meal, the deceptively plain looking salad tastes very fresh and the simple drizzled olive oil was a very nice accompaniment - looking at it I thought it would taste dull but I could have eaten several bowls.
Pumpkin  soup  in  a  bread  roll

 Next was the pumpkin soup in a bread roll - I ended up having half of this and although it looks cute it wasn't quite as tasty as it was good looking. The bread was slightly stale (logically I think it must have to be in order to be capable of holding the soup), and the soup was somewhere between soup and pate, (again I guess this is probably a consequence of the serving style, it wouldn't work if the soup was more watery).

 Then we had our mains. My partner ordered the tomato sauce spaghetti with vegetables and I ordered the tomato sauce penne with spicy vegetables. These two were essentially the same except mine had added chilli and the pasta was penne instead of spaghetti. They were both perfectly edible but like most Italian food in Asia it didn't quite hit the mark. The pasta was on the soft side and the sauce a little too watery. The flavours were nice enough though. Once serious concern - they put a sprinkling of Parmesan on everything and although it is possible that they used vegetarian Parmesan it's not guaranteed - sadly many restauranteurs are a little wooly about what vegetarian means. Anyone who is concerned ought to ask the staff first. (Even more worryingly the dish I ordered was apparently marked as vegan.)

 The final dish was the chocolate lava cake. I tried some despite not being a dessert lover and it was rather good. Not the best I've had but I would probably order it if I came here again.
