The first Charcoal Grilled Japanese Restaurant first appeared in Taiwan in 1989, which was introduced by a Japanese person, Kimura. There was no such restaurant in Taiwan back then and this was considered an innovation. The customers mostly consist of Japanese. Even though the store is not large enough, visitors just come back over and over because of the good taste. Four years ago, Kimura was aging and physically and mentally sill, the owner’s wife was taking care of the business and Kimura. Under one occasional opportunity, the restaurant was handed over to existing restaurant owner, James, for management.

After James took over the restaurant, he not only upholds to the ingredient quality required by Kimura and the miso sauce must be made from at least 10 ingredients, he is fully committed in presenting the original flavor of food and taking further progress in more professional BBQ cooking. He insists to grill food with charcoal, does not use machine for meat cutting but manually cutting through skilled cutting techniques, so that meat can be cut by the meridian and giving that special flavor to the texture of BBQ meat.

Herbal Lamb Shoulder Rack: Herbal Lamb Shoulder Rack does not have any smell and is very tasty.


Thick Slice of Cow Tongue: Different from the average length of cow tongue, the thick-slice cow tongue tastes very chewy.

Streaky Pork: Streaky pork tastes very chewy and is charming with the large portion and big slices.


There are some dishes which one should not miss form the order, including the thick-slice cow tongue, beef rib diamond cut, herbal lamb shoulder rack, Streaky pork, vegetable and seafood pancake. Particularly, the chewy flavor of thick slice cow tongue satisfy people’s stomach. The texture of beef rib diamond cut gives that rich texture gives juicy bite flavor for each bite. Apart from the beef, there are other types of meat for selection. For example, the Herbal Lamb Shoulder Rack does not have the smell of lamb but only the freshness and sweetness. The streaky pork comes with evenly distributed grease that is highly chewy. Dipping fruit sauce will highlight the freshness in pork. Those who do not wish to eat meat may order vegetable seafood pancake for the crispy outside, rich filling but can also be used for cleaning the intestines and stomach.
