In 1994, Mr. Lin and Ms. Jhuang knew each other when working at a same Sichuan cuisine restaurant. They then tied a knot. After their marriage, Ms. Jhuang left the restaurant industry. It was the peak of Sichuan cuisine restaurant with the establishment of numerous new branch restaurants one after another. Unfortunately, after 921 Earthquake in 1999, due to poor management, many shareholders withdrew their investment, and the owner at the time was forced to sell out equipment at the restaurant to pay the heavy loan. Later, he sold branch stores. The restaurant on Yingzai Rd. was the place where the owner couple got to know each other and had their wedding, a very meaningful place. Thus, the couple decided to buy the restaurant. That marked the birth of Ba Fan Bao Restaurant.

Due to limited financial resources, there had been no luxurious decoration in this simple tin house. They had no extra helpers at the restaurant, either. The couple needed to take care of everything on their own. Ms. Zhuang, at that time, was a mother of three kids, and she returned to the workplace with a determination to regain success. As a joint owner, she has been working very hard for her restaurant business until today.
