Taipei 47 perched on the highrise is a perfect introduction to the city with an impressive view. The elegant setting with high ceiling and chandeliers serves delicate Chinese cuisine is prepared by experienced chefs. We enjoyed many a la carte selections. One dish stands out is the soup braised with delicacy served in a jade urn that looks like a treasure from the museum.

OWNYA is the English name. This dark mood place is one of the best in Dasn district for Japanese style BBQ beef over charcoal grill. The staffs is informative and will grill the beef, so we can enjoy eating. We sat on the counter bar seats, where the staff will prepare infront of you. The combo beef set has cube cut, sliced and steak, lends to a different texture and good portion for 2 persons. We also enjoyed the tender grilled beef tongur topped chopped spring onions. Wash all down with imported fruit beer tasted more like innocent fruit soda. The ventilation is quite adequate but like any open BBQ place, you will get some smell on your hair.

One of the hardest to book restaurants because of the Taiwan star chef Andre's wonderful interpretation of local cuisine in modern ways. The beautiful crafted wood interior is a bonus. The tasting menu changes seasonally and focus on local ingredients. Try your luck booking online only or call to confirm for big party.
