王品牛排 高雄中正店 (新興區)

Best steakhouse in Kaoshiung with Excellent service. Set dinner was under 1700 TWD with a promo discount on top during our visit. Servers were very professional and attentive. Their croissant was yummy that we definitely said Yes for seconds. Mushroom appy was very appealing and love that the soup was poured in front of you into your soup bowl. We ordered an oxtail and a mushroom soup. Before our main came, an iced slush is served to get you ready for the next course. Our mains were a steak with black truffle and a thick cut pork. Both were wonderfully made. The pork is highly recommended as the bone part will be re-grilled. Dessert was a soothing finishing. We had a creme brulee and a milk tea eclair. A meal to cherish. At the end, the restaurant gifted us a photo as souvenir. Will visit again on my next trip to Kaoshiung.

叁和院 高雄義大店 (大樹區)

Interesting finding. This place has great range of Taiwanese dishes, from the traditional pork with bun, spicy chicken nugget to a modern cone appy. Their local vegetable had a nice texture after mixing the egg yolk. Their portion accommodates perfectly to small party of two.

無老鍋 苓雅店 (苓雅區)

Wulao is famous for their soupbase. We went with both soups and added a little extra for ginseng and unlimited duck blood (of which was surprisingly good as I don't usually like even pork blood) and cold tofu. Ingredients are fresh and do tryout the white tofu that looks like a mini mountain of which I forgot to take a pix of. I don't recommend fish of which we ordered as the soup flavour overpowers the freshness of fish. An iced yakult comes with the meal of which was a perfect finishing to end the meal. Reservations are recommended with a seating of 1.5 hrs.

小將 割烹‧壽司 (大安區)

Lovely omakase starting 1600 TWD. We went with a 2000 one to try. The chef is very attentive and love the little details that makes a difference such as the red vinegar used for the sushi rice. Meal was excellent. A hidden gem near Sogo area.

無老鍋 中山店 (中山區)

Highly recommended ~ a must have at Taipei. Pls make reservations in advance. Excellent service, savoury and fresh ingredients and the perfect slush (was included) to finish your meal. The two soups were a perfect match. Definitely will go back again on my next visit.
