Most tourists might not know about Wulai, However, in reality, Wu Lai is less than 1 hr away from the main city of Taipei!
The area is filled with the rich culture of Tai Ya people.
Instead of choosing typical "tourist trap" restaurants to dine at, we decided to try out one that looked authentic and actually displayed a ton of traditional ornaments and artifacts! After entering the restaurant, you' notice the aboriginal decorations on the walls,

Belonging to a Tai Yan family, the staff there is welcoming and friendly, and are willing to share knowledge and information about their culture and heritage!

You could order a variety of dishes, ranging from exotic meats to wild vegetables and soups. As well as a taste of their traditional wine and tea made from the spring water.

A delightful eatery!
